Grain Bin Rescue Class Conducted in Carrington, ND

Carrington, N.D. — Firefighters and participants attended grain bin rescue training on Saturday, March 6, in Carrington, N.D., according to a NewsDakota.com article.

Paul Bensch from the Jamestown Rural Fire Department, Chris Kankelfritz with ACK Tech Rescue Training, and Ken Wangen with the Carrington Fire Department, were among those presenting the training.

Carrington Fire Chief Ken Wangen said 26 attendees from Carrington, Kensal, New Rockford Fire, and Carrington Health Center Ambulance.

Wangen said presenters displayed appropriate non-entry rescue efforts and various cutting tools were used in a simulated rescue to assist in the removal of grain from the system.
